A native Mac app with the same companions, art, progression, statistics and achievements as on iPhone – in Mac shapes. While you focus, your pet sits in the menu bar, around the notch and above your windows. Glance at it and stay locked in.
macOS 15 or later · Syncs with your iPhone and iPad through iCloud
Try it: drag the floating fox, hover the island, click the fox in the menu bar, or finish the session and start another.
Turn on Keep Your Pet on Screen in Settings and your companion stays in sight while you work – in three places, each with its own switch.
A small companion above every window. Drag it anywhere – near an edge it settles there. Click it for Pause and Finish, double-click to open FocusPets.
Your pet around the notch, like the Dynamic Island – on a display without a notch, a slim capsule under the menu bar. It opens for Pause and Finish and closes when you move on.
Your pet next to the clock. A click shows the session’s controls, or every pet one click from a session.
The sidebar keeps the pet you focused with last one click from a session, with Today, your Focus Story and Achievements each in their own color. While a session runs, the whole window becomes your pet’s stage – just like the iPhone’s focus screen.
Your pets and sessions sync through your own iCloud. Start a session on your iPhone and it runs on your Mac; pause it on the Mac and it pauses on the iPhone; finish it on either and it ends on both.
The pet never takes the keyboard from the app you’re typing in. Turn on Let Clicks Pass Through and it ignores the mouse altogether.
No bouncing, badges or nagging. It never asks for attention – and nothing moves with Reduce Motion on.
FocusPets can open quietly when you log in, so your pet is there from the start. No account – your focus history stays private in your iCloud.
Download FocusPets for Mac, pick your companion and start your first session. Already focusing on your iPhone? Your companions arrive through iCloud by themselves.
